Payment Help: Paying for myfans from Outside Japan
Updated November 4, 2026
Card got declined right when things were getting good? Happens all the time when you pay a Japanese site from abroad. Check these first. Still stuck? Email me and I’ll reply within 12 hours.
My card was declined. What should I check?
Most declines come from your card issuer, not from myfans. Try these in order:
- Open your bank’s app and make sure overseas / online payments are turned on.
- Check that you have enough limit left. Prices are in Japanese yen, so the amount in your currency changes slightly.
- Finish the 3D Secure check (a code or app confirmation from your bank) if it appears. Closing that screen cancels the payment.
- Some banks block adult or overseas sites by default. Call your bank and ask them to allow the payment, or try another card (a different brand or bank).
Why was I charged a slightly different amount?
myfans charges in Japanese yen. Your bank converts it to your currency and may add a foreign transaction fee (often 1–3%). The exact rate is set by your bank, not by myfans or by us.
Does a monthly plan renew automatically?
Yes, plans are monthly subscriptions. Check the plan details before you join. If you don’t want to continue, cancel the plan from your myfans account before the next renewal.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are decided only by myfans. Contact myfans support with the date, the amount and the creator’s name. If you’re not sure what to write, email me and I’ll help you put it together.
The site is in Japanese and I can’t find the buttons.
Change the language in myfans: Account info → Language settings. Avoid your browser’s translate button; it can break the payment screens. See How to join myfans from abroad.
