Why I made this site

Japan has amazing independent creators, and a lot of them would love fans from abroad. But myfans is Japanese, the sign-up is confusing, and you can’t tell who is good from the outside. I already spend my own money on this stuff anyway, so I decided to write down what’s worth it, in English and Chinese.

Why “Senpai”? Why “Yabai”?

Senpai is the older guy at school or work who shows you how things really work. Yabai (やばい) is Japanese slang for “insane,” good or bad. Put them together and that’s me: the older guy who tells you which stuff is insanely good.

How Senpai works

• I only write about creators I subscribed to and watched myself.
• I use images and text only with the creator’s permission.
• Photos and clips come from creators themselves, censored as Japanese law requires.
• I follow Japanese law and the rules of every platform I introduce.
